Hello, I'm Ashleigh… but everyone calls me Ash. If someone uses my full name, I immediately think I'm in trouble!

I only use Ashleigh K Photography because it sounds a little more professional.

When I'm not behind the camera, I'm spending time with my fiancé, Jaco, and our little furry family:

Faf the Frenchie (chief mischief-maker), Ally the Yorkie cross (professional eater), and Axel the Maltese (professional cuddler).

I've always loved the outdoors. Whether I'm horse riding, exploring nature, baking, sewing, painting, or

spending time with family and friends, I find inspiration in the simple moments. Horses, wildlife and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I've been a professional photographer for over 17 years, and my journey began with my horse, who unknowingly started my photography career.

Photographing horses led me to portrait photography, where I discovered how much I love helping people feel comfortable, confident and relaxed in front of the camera.

Wedding photography became a full-time focus after many of my clients asked me to photograph their weddings.

Along the way, I realized there was a need for a wedding photographer who could offer a more natural, relaxed experience.

 

My approach combines natural light photography, gentle direction and authentic storytelling to create timeless wedding photographs that truly reflect each couple.

I believe your wedding photographs should feel like you with a mix of subtle posing and natural moments, but filled with genuine laughter, real emotion and meaningful moments.

 

I'll gently guide you when you need it and step back when the moments unfold naturally, creating a beautiful balance of candid memories and elegant portraits.

Many of my couples tell me they're awkward in front of the camera or worry they won't know what to do.

 

That's exactly where I come in. My job is to help you feel comfortable, confident and completely at ease, so you can enjoy your wedding day while I capture it naturally.

I have a specifically designed posing class as part of all my wedding packages to make you feel confident.
